AAU Basketball
The Goal: The Binghamton Bulldogs are entering their 9th season as one of the PREMIER AAU Basketball organizations in the Northeast Region.
Our goal with the Bulldogs AAU basketball program is to bring together the top players in the Southern Tier in each age group, and field competitive teams made up of advanced players who are serious about basketball and allow them the chance to compete across the Northeast Region against other top players from all over the Northeast at their respective age group - while at the same time using core values to teach long lasting life lessons.
We are designed at the core to develop your kids as players on the court and as individuals off the court.
Spring 2026 AAU Basketball Offerings
We will be offering Teams in Grades 4 through 10
Girls Tryouts
4th Grade - 10th Grade
Teams will be broken down by age group*
Tryout Dates:
Grades 4-6 | Sunday January 25th from 9:30am - 11:00am | Sunday February 1st from 9:30am - 11:00am
Grades 7/8 | Sunday January 25th from 11:00am - 1:00pm | Sunday February 1st from 11:00am - 1:00pm
Grades 9/10 | Sunday January 25th from 11:00am - 1:00pm | Sunday February 1st from 11:00am - 1:00pm
*Players must attend at least 1 tryout date and are encouraged to attend both*
Boys Tryouts

Tryout Dates:
Grades 4-6 | Sunday January 25th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm & Sunday February 1st from 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Grades 7/8 | Sunday January 25th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm & Sunday February 1st from 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Grades 9/10 | Sunday January 25th from 3:00pm - 5:00pm & Sunday February 1st from 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Cost for tryouts is $25.00 and includes both tryouts. Player must participate in at least 1 tryout to be eligible to make the team. Each team will practice1-2 times per week throughout the season.
Online Registration is required for tryouts. No walk in participants.

AAU Basketball Structure
The following is the cost breakdown if your child is selected to the team (one of the 10 rostered players) after BOTH tryouts are complete.
Player Fee - $549.00 (Includes brand new personalized Bulldogs uniform with player name).
All player fees are due by February 8, 2026.
Player Fee includes all practices (approx 1-2 per week), personalized uniform, team general liability Insurance fee, coaches fee, and an approximate fifteen (15) game AAU Basketball season.
*Any potential food and hotel expenses (if needed) are not included in your player fee*
Spring 2026 AAU Basketball Calendar
Number of games: Approximately 15 games per team
Tryouts: End of January/Early February
Practices: First week of March
Tournaments: Mid-March
Season End: Early to Mid-May
Season will consist of 5-6 events with 2-3 games in each event totaling 15 games for the season. Tournaments are weekends only.

If any tournament is canceled due to lack of overall team enrollment we will search for an alternative tournament the same weekend or during one of the open weekends.
AAU Basketball Notes:
*Some 1-day tournaments may run on Saturday or Sunday, depending on which day has more signups for that particular tournament. Please be available both days.
*Typically we will not know a tournament schedule until the Wednesday or Thursday before the tournament (just a few days before), so please be patient in requesting each tournament schedule.
*If a division within a tournament is canceled due to lack of registrations, we will attempt to seek out a makeup tournament that same weekend or on an open weekend. If we are unable to find a makeup tournament for the same weekend, we will use an alternative (makeup) date.
*We will attempt to participate in as many 1-day events as possible with distance minimally exceeding 1-2 hours to limit travel and hotel costs for our parents while still finding quality events and opponents. We will do 1 overnight trip each AAU season so the kids can get the fun experience of an overnight. If any of our 1-day events are canceled due to a lack of team registrations that may result in us doing an additional overnight trip as a makeup.
Spring season: March - May (Tryouts in late Jan/early Feb)
Summer season: Mid-May - end of July (Tryouts in Mid-May)
Fall season: Late September through early November (Tryouts in Late-August)
