AAU Basketball
The Goal: The Binghamton Bulldogs are entering their 9th season as one of the PREMIER AAU Basketball organizations in the Northeast Region.
Our goal with the Bulldogs AAU basketball program is to bring together the top players in the Southern Tier in each age group, and field competitive teams made up of advanced players who are serious about basketball and allow them the chance to compete across the Northeast Region against other top players from all over the Northeast at their respective age group - while at the same time using core values to teach long lasting life lessons.
We are designed at the core to develop your kids as players on the court and as individuals off the court.
Girls Summer 2025 AAU Basketball Offerings
We will be offering Teams in Grades 4 through 9
Girls Tryouts
5th Grade - 9th Grade
Teams will be broken down by age group*
Tryouts: Wednesday May 21st from 7:30pm - 9:00pm & Saturday May 24th from 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Boys Tryouts
8th Grade & 9th Grade
Teams will be broken down by age group*
Tryouts: Tuesday May 27th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Cost for players who did not play for Bulldogs in the Spring 2025 is $25.00 to tryout. Player must participate in tryout to be eligible to make the team. Each team will practice a minimum of 1-2 times per week once the teams are set and the season begins.
Online Registration is required for tryouts. No walk in participants.

AAU Basketball Structure
The following is the cost breakdown if your child is selected to the team (one of the 10 rostered players) after BOTH tryouts are complete.
Player Fee (If you make the team after tryouts):
Returning players from Spring 2025 - $449.00 (Does not include uniform - same uniform from Spring)
New players who did not play Bulldogs in Spring 2025 $549.00 (Includes Bulldogs uniform)
Player Fee includes practices (approx 1-2 per week), personalized uniform, team general liability Insurance, coaches fee, and a minimum sixteen (16) game AAU Basketball season. *Food and Hotel Costs (if needed) are not included in your player fee*
**Player fee is due by May 9, 2025 AAU fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable for any reason including sickness or injury**
Summer 2025 AAU Basketball Schedule
June 7th or 8th | Endicott, NY | 1-day tournament (2-3 games)
June 22nd | Johnson City, NY | 1-day tournament (2-3 games)
July 19th or July 20th | Syracuse, NY (3 games)
July 26th and 27th | Johnson City, NY | 2-day tournament (3+ games)
*Team Spot in the BSC 8-game Summer League (8 games)*
*Dates & locations may (and often do) change based on tournament registrations and availability*
The Summer season will consist of a 16 game season with practices starting in May and the season ending July 26/27.
If any tournament is canceled due to lack of overall team enrollment we will search for an alternative tournament the same weekend or during one of the open weekends.
*Some 1-day tournaments may run on Saturday or Sunday, depending on which day has more signups for that particular tournament. Please be available both days.
*Typically we will not know a tournament schedule until the Wednesday or Thursday before the tournament (just a few days before), so please be patient in requesting each tournament schedule.
*If a division within a tournament is canceled due to lack of registrations, we will attempt to seek out a makeup tournament that same weekend or on an open weekend. If we are unable to find a makeup tournament for the same weekend, we will use an alternative (makeup) date.
Spring season: March - May (Tryouts in late Jan/early Feb)
Summer season: Mid-May - end of July (Tryouts in Mid-May)
Fall season: September through early November (Tryouts in Mid-August)
We will attempt to participate in as many 1-day events as possible with distance minimally exceeding 1-2 hours to limit travel and hotel costs for our parents while still finding quality events and opponents. We will do 1 overnight trip each AAU season so the kids can get the fun experience of an overnight. If any of our 1-day events are canceled due to a lack of team registrations that may result in us doing an additional overnight trip as a makeup.
